כִּי מִצִּיּוֹן תֵּצֵא תוֹרָה, וּדְבַר-ה’ מִירוּשָׁלִָם. וְשָׁפַט בֵּין הַגּוֹיִם, וְהוֹכִיחַ לְעַמִּים רַבִּים; וְכִתְּתוּ חַרְבוֹתָם לְאִתִּים, וַחֲנִיתוֹתֵיהֶם לְמַזְמֵרוֹת—לֹא-יִשָּׂא גוֹי אֶל-גּוֹי חֶרֶב, וְלֹא-יִלְמְדוּ עוֹד מִלְחָמָה. כי מציון תצא תורה ודבר-יהוה מירושלם ושפט בין הגוים והוכיח לעמים רבים וכתתו חרבותם לאתים וחניתותיהם למזמרות לא-ישא גוי אל-גוי חרב ולא-ילמדו עוד מלחמה
For instruction shall come forth from Zion, the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. Thus He will judge among the nations and arbitrate for the many peoples, and they shall beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks: Nation shall not take up sword against nation; they shall never again know war.

Pray for the well-being of Jerusalem:
“May those who love you be at peace.
May there be well-being within your ramparts,
Peace in your citadels.”

Rabban Shimon, the son of Gamliel, said, “The world stands on three things: on truth, on judgment, and on peace.”
